Talked with two high-level Texas sources tonight and to the surprise of no one, Charlie Strong is expected to be fired as head football coach once the season concludes.

I spoke with one source on the phone moments ago and that person expressed disbelief that anything would happen tonight, but there are expected to be conversations involving Texas president Greg Fenves and key Texas officials in the next 24 hours.

When I asked one source if Strong would go coach the TCU game, I was told that nothing has changed at this point with regards to allowing Strong to finish the season before a decision is announced.

I'll have more when updates become available.
