It is amusing to see so much wavering of support after this loss to Texas Tech. One week we are emphatically supportive of Sark and the direction of the program (Alabama) and even more enthused after we start slow against UTSA and out score them 34-3. Posters and MOD Hierarchy alike have a tough time understanding that our return to elite level football is a process and will take time - and the period of time this will take is not two years and may not be three. And in this period, we will lose games we should win and not perform as well as we hope for and in concert with your expectations.
We are not an elite level team but right on the cusp of a top 30 football in America, especially with a hobbled QB, extremely young makeup of players, and average defensive scheme.
If you’re expectations are a return to the glory days this year or next, you have set yourself up for disappointment. Not gong to happen this quickly. Keep mind that expectations are a premeditated resentment, which it is obvious that a lot of you have for Sark and his staff - at least this week That is!!
This board reminds me of Liberals/ Democrats, always thinking and responding with their emotions as opposed to evaluating the situation and establishing realistic, prudent expectations. This is no time to pass judgement, throw in the towel on the season, and even make comments about a coaching change. That is moronic at best!! But it is time to see how we bounce back next week, manage overall season expectations, and evaluate the season In its entirety.
Time to relax and manage conservative expectations as opposed to irrational expectations and major disappointment. Much like the political climate in our country today - those with LIberal/Socailist views remain disappointed as their expectations will never be satisfied but those that take a conservative and realistic view on most matters ultimately prevail.
