Stevens gets the start over Madden in game 1 today, which I think is a good way to go.
Wondering what Southern’s coach was thinking starting a guy that could only hit 80 with a fastball.
Well, my guess is that he knew today would be ass whip day, but tomorrow they might be able to win with their ace. Don't want to burn his arm up today in a sure fire loss.
I love this team, but sometimes they run bases like my church softball team. Could have had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs and we gamble and try to take home, only to get thrown out.. No reason for that. Little things like that will get you beat next weekend. Thankfully Zubia was still able to hurt them with two outs.
Yeah If he was going to take home he should of done it as soon as the catcher threw
I was about to say the same exact thing. No reason to even try. Making the 1st out at home with no outs and the meat of your order coming up makes absolutely no sense. Also, Cam didn't score from third on a ground ball hit deep into the middle that the infielder had to dive for. I love this team also but I do notice them making baserunning mistakes in situations that my son learned about when he was 10 years old.
These guys just keep pressuring. It’s infuriating and defeating to the other team inning after inning. It eventually catches up to them. 10 runs. Solid.
Texas gets the winner of Fairfield/ASU tonight at 8PM. Whichever team it is, they have to beat Texas twice.

Yes, they can be a bit neurotic at times. Pooping your pants against WVU is no laughing matter.
But I think we might be finding our groove. We produce runs even without hits. We get on base and find ways to capitalize on other teams mistakes. And this is a good thing.
Until we run into a team that doesn't make mistakes. I'm thinking the only team that doesn't really make mistakes is Arky.
I want to play arky-- I truly do. I want to because I think that's the only team that has more talent from top to bottom than we have.

We are waiting for the winner of USF and South Alabama in the Gainesville Regional they got suspended in the bottom of the 5th with South Alabama up 4-0. If South Alabama can keep the lead and win they will be forced to play another.

Arkansas is scary. Yes, Nebraska beat them yesterday, but the Huskers are out of pitching going into tonight's deciding game.
Still indicates Arkansas is beatable. They’re at home with a huge, aggressive crowd and still lost a close game to a “lesser” opponent. Probably a wake up call for them but looking forward to the game tonight.
Yes I’ve been saying how frustrating and patient our offense has been. And it’s entertaining to see how many college teams do not know how to effectively field a bunt in pressure situations. We have several guys that eat them up with small ball and speed. Every pitcher and infield now puckers up when these guys come to the plate, regardless of game situation. And as long as Ivan continues to rip it or walk we’re the best team in the country right now across the board.
Looks like we will be playing USF they were the 4th seed in the Gainesville region. First ever Super Regional appearance.
