**Official Texas vs 4 Game Losing Streak" game thread**

This team has quit. You can see that they have no fight left in them. I would imagine that none of the guys on this team want to have to prepare for and play the remaining games.
It's official. This is a complete rebuild. I would not be surprised to see some of our best players transfer. We are going to be stuck with crap. It's time to process out the bad apples. It's over. This is going to be a 5-10 year process with the ineptitude that is leading our athletic department.

You mean 15-20 considering the last 10 years….

I will actually be very surprised if Bijan doesn't enter the portal. His talent is being wasted here.

Yes. It can get worse and will. Unless SK and crew are master magicians on the recruiting trail, I suggest following another CFB program. Your life instantly becomes less stressful and happier. Prove me wrong clob. Gimmie your best shot. I double effing dog dare you.
If I'm SK and crew, I'm not selling UT and Austin - right now there's nothing to sell. You can't sell history to 18 year olds. I'm selling experience at AL, the NFL, UW, and experience with Saban. I'm selling the successful components of those programs that are being installed in Austin. I'm also selling playing time.

I agree with following another CFB program - a kids' college, parent's college, other relative's college, up-and-coming CFB program, up-and-coming coach, or any other reason to adopt a 2nd program. For the last 20 years, I've had a 1A (UT) and 1B (other college I've adopted) that I root for. My 1B college has changed over the years but it's not a yearly change. I can tell you my CFB weekends couldn't be happier.

This is a culture problem we have going on in Austin. Until that changes then the results are going to stay the same. Bunch of pussies who don’t give a shit about football.
Except for RJ, BR and maybe a few others. You can see it in the way they play - RJ and BR are fighters and winners. Never recruit 5 stars from losing HS programs. They don’t know how to win.

So your 1B is the Tide? Good choice. Although OU or Ohio State would not be bad. Sorry to mention the Sooners. I know MM is watching. But you did say 20 years.

No, my current 1B is not AL although my 1B has always been an out of state school. Yep, I’ve had a 1B for about 20 years.

My wife is a life long Georgia fan as she’s from there. So I’ve got that. I think trying to sell early playing time may be fools gold at this point. We‘ve done that for a while now and it hasnt panned out so well. Now it appears, based on comments from posters here, that Austin isnt what it used to be and the school definitely isn’t. Not trying to be a downer and maybe I’m totally wrong, but any of you with a 5* kid want them spending time there in this current climate? Either downtown Austin Friday night, on this football team, or in the classroom? It’s still a top notch education of course but it’s recruiting prowess has lost its shine. Maybe we could ask Blake Brockermeyer his thoughts…

Many of us have touched on this very point. The problem is so much deeper than a lack of overall talent.

That's true.
No question. But unless you count 8-4 as a "dark day" (I don't) OU has not had one in over 20 years. But do remember the Gomer Jones days (only one season, thank God) and Blake (3 years) so OU could hit the skids at some point. Doubt it will be while Riley is running things. Will see.

Everyone will run into dark days. Even Bama will someday. Saban isn’t going to be around forever. Clemson going through it right now. Michigan has been there so has Ohio State. It happens to everyone.

Always has. Always will. Only question is how long the dark days will last. OU has not had very many; weak period from Switzer to Stoops. And Jones.

Ours has lasted for over a decade. Bama dealt with this shit for like 3-4 years. Ohio State had two three year stretches in the late 80s and late 90s. Michigan had 3 awful Rich Rod years and one bad Hoke year.

We're going on 12 years and counting with no end in sight...

At this point there is no building on the players we have. There are a few. Most of the herman players and their attitudes need to move on. It's going to be a tough process but it can be much quicker if the bad apples are processed this year. Moore was not one of them.
