That 4th and 13 throw was possible because Quinn checked into a max protection. That's something that doesn't show up in the box score. He was nails when the game was on the line.

Problem is they got Henderson back.
This game is on the coaches to develop great game plans and adjust as needed. Talent level is even, just like Georgia game. You will have to play a clean game and call a clean game to win this one. That goes for both sides.
Did you sleep through the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter where Quinn marched them down the field not once, but twice to get them in FG range?
Then scored in the first OT on a ridiculous throw on 4th and 13, and then followed it with another ridiculous throw on the 2 pt. conversion. Then the Helm play to start the 2nd OT was a thing of beauty.
He had absolutely no help from the running game yesterday. Do you know how hard it is to play the QB position when the other team knows there is no threat of the running game. Some in this fanbase have taken the results from the last 2 years from granted. We're back in the final 4 for a second consecutive year. Quinn Ewers has a little bit to do with that.
Take it from me, I've been hard on QE and rightly so...most of it very deserved, but he was the reason we won that football game yesterday and why Texas is 2-0 in the playoffs. Give credit where it is due.
If we can't stop the run with 5 and 6 man boxes then we're cooked lol. Henderson looked GOOD yesterday!
I also think Quinn is going to have to put his cape on because I have zero faith we can run the ball on their defense.
I just shivered a little. Cover 6 (QQH) is scary bro. Especially against a team like Ohio st who won't hesitate to run it right up the gut on you.

He thinks he knows QBs and QB play but is consistently wrong. But, he had a good show once upon a time. I don't watch or listen anymore, but once upon a time it was a good listen.

We were a 2 TD favorite over Arizona State. It took us 2OTs to win. Yeah….QE is NOT awesome. You have to be on crack to believe that he is awesome. 1 offensive TD in the first half. 1 TD offensive TD in the second half. 1 interception thrown! Terrible!

I have 💯 respect for Arizona State. Their oc Marcus Arroyo had a great game plan. They wanted to control the clock and in that regard they succeed. They wanted to tire us in the fourth quarter and they did. And Cam Skattebo and Sam Leavitt are legit. But until the fourth quarter we kept them between the 20's. They wanted to stop our running game and they did.
They won the Big XII in their first year. They got their stride at the end of the year. And most of their players will be back next year. They have a young coach to keep an eye on. I'll be watching them next year.

4MNC is cool and has probably been around longer than I, but his disdain for QE astounds me. I just don’t get it.
@4MNChampsHorn we couldn't have gotten this far without Ewers. He's been injured most of the season so he can't do all the things we want him to do. But in overtime he was golden in both quarters. Because he's injured every game is a workman like effort we're not going to blow anyone out. I do wonder why after halftime we go to the running game but wth he's the coach. Then it dawned on me.
The strength of our team is defense and special teams. Get off to a great start go to the running game and shorten the game. Until yesterday we were tied with Notre Dame for most forced turnovers. Arizona State challenged our defense but we came through when it mattered. While Auburn has struggled because of Golden our special are an asset. That's how we're doing it and I expect the same thung against Ohio State.

I agree that QE has battled and come thru when he’s had to but I also know you can’t keep rolling 7s in a dice game. Sooner or later luck leaves your ass at the alter. You touch on something several of us have been saying the whole season. He’s been hurt and can’t execute everything he needs to for the offense to excel. If he’s hurt, then sit him and play someone that’s not so you can use the entire playbook. I don’t know if we would be playing against OSU Saturday if Arch started the last few games but I can tell you against Georgia, mobile QBs gave them problems all year. One dimensional QBs got eaten alive.
Point being, you can criticize the decision to play 3 and still be one of us. 4MNC is one of us. Evidently he’s a half glass empty type of guy, but he’s still family and his point isn’t completely wrong.

Quinn has brought you football in july 2 years in a row..and a confrence champion ship and a apperiance in the first year of the sec. And again BACK TO BACK PLAYOFF BIRTHS...now 2-1 in the playoffs..

Good point. I don’t have an answer by any means, but is there a reason Sark never has an answer for a team that constantly blitzes. Even when the whole world knew that ASU was coming on that safety. The blueprint against Sark is blitz non-stop, right? Georgia has NFL talent and it can be understandable, but ASU stopped our run game flat out. That does concern me.
