***OFFICIAL Texas vs The Fighting Bill Clintons game thread***

I propose a friendly bet.

I say at the end of the regular season, Tulane will end up being a better win for OU than Texas will be. In as much as Tulane will be ranked higher than Texas in the AP poll then.

It’s kind of a sucker bet for you. Many things have to happen, including OU beating Texas. If OU doesn’t beat Texas, you already win the bet.

If you win, I will put on my signature whatever you want, as long as Rivals allows it. If I win, all you have to put is “Micco was right again.”

Interested?
Agree. OU played flat against Tulane but I think Tulane is going to have a pretty dang good year if they keep their qb healthy. Not saying Tulane is better than Texas but at the time we play them it may be considered a better win.

To be fair he picked up some great reads on wide open receivers who either dropped or he missed badly. His progressions are great but he held the ball too long working through them.
Agree. There were a couple big/deep throws where the damn receivers had their hands on the ball and failed to catch it. One was in the endzone, one was Whittington deep down the field and somehow the db broke it up and there were a couple more I know

I think this is the first time I've seen you cuss on here.
not the first.....wont be the last....but it is a poor way to debate for sure. Better to just let the grossly wrong quietly know they are grossly wrong. Sorry about it, but I dont suffer lightweight fans easily. If they are your team, they are your team even when they play badly.

This is what I saw as well. It was a combination of the O line not giving him much time at the beginning of the game, missing opportunities when they are there and WR dropping passes. Dicker the kicker also sucks.

The only difference I saw in Casey and Hudson was that Casey was quicker trying to tuck the ball when nothing was there and make a play with his legs. When I went back and watched I saw a couple times where if Hudson tucks and runs he has a 15-20 yard gain easily. They were dropping 7-8 guys back into zone and covering all the underneath stuff up all night.

I think now that teams have a little bit of film on this offense they are going to start playing the run and daring us to throw the ball downfield. I have yet to see us stretch the field once this season and that may just be a credit to the offensive line not being able to hold blocks long enough to do so. I say against Rice throw Casey out there to start and see what happens. Not that it's going to give us a true read because it is Rice after all but I think to this point he has earned it.

Same SEC that don’t show up to bowl games? mizz and Georgia? Just asking?

Fact Check: I think they show up.

SEC 63 - 35 (70% of SEC teams playing each yr) 7 natl champs
Big 10 37 - 48 (61% of Big10 teams playing each yr) 1 natl champ
ACC 40 - 51 (64% of ACC teams playing each yr) 2 natl champs
Big 12 40 - 34 (74% of Big12 teams playing each yr) no natl champs
Pac 12 39 - 37 (63% of Pac12 teams playing each yr) no natl champs

SEC wins at much higher percentage than any other and does so playing 70% of its teams every year.

Of those 7 national championships you have listed there Alabama has 5 of them. So the fact of the matter is one team construes those numbers you have listed there. LSU, Auburn, and Florida have really good teams once every 7 to 8 years. Let's not pretend that Alabama isn't the one team carrying the perception of the SEC greatness as a whole.

Fact check! Everytime Texas beats an SEC team in a bowl the SEC fans come out and make excuses. That was my point.

“They didn’t want to be there”
“Well having a month to prepare isn’t like playing in the SEC every weekend”
“The kids playing are just happy to be there “

SEC is all Bama.

Show us your fact check of UT vs A&M.

BBA, you got owned on this one. Go ahead and admit it that Alabama is the SEC's bell cow. A couple of other teams are good, a few are decent and a few are bad. The bottom line is the SEC is top heavy with one team that dominates. LSU, Auburn and Florida are back to reality. a&m is a middle of the pack team, who has done nothing to cause anyone in the conference to sit up and be concerned over the aggies. I predict that a&m will have three conference losses this year.

They don’t have all of those bowl wins which was what was mentioned. No one can doubt Bama has had a ridiculous run.

Nah, the reply was about SEC teams not showing up in bowl games. Since joining the SEC A&M is 7-3 in bowl games. SEC historically shows up better than any conference as a whole historically.

If that’s the case there should be no excuses but historically when they get beat their fans start whining.
