So last night we played REC LEAGUE all girls flag football. Like we do every week. Neighborhood sports. Cedar park.
The other team led at the half 6-0. The officials ask my assistant if the score is 7-7. He says no I believe it’s 0-6 us losing. They say ok. Game continues… we score at the end. Miss extra point. 6-6. Refs signal game over 7-6 they win. I ask em wth. Use my challenge and get an admin over. The coach absolutely refuses to admit it’s 6-6. Keeps saying it’s whatever the officials say it is. “I don’t remember”, “game’s over let’s go home”. I just say there’s an active challenge, game is not over. Give it a few mins to reaolve.
Zero integrity. It’s a rec league. They are 12. Do the right thing.
The admins rule in my favor. We go to triple OT and win.
