Miami Norland CB Carlton Davis has been committed to Ohio State since August, but he has said for a while that he plans to take some official visits. The Longhorns offered not too long ago, and it sounds like Texas has piqued Davis' interest.
The 6-2, 178-pound Davis will visit Florida this weekend. He has a trip to Ohio State set up for November 28 and Miami is expected to get a visit.
I asked Davis tonight if Texas is in the picture and he told me yes, and that he was going to take a visit to UT. He does not have any dates in mind so this sounds like it's in the preliminary stages, but it sounds like Texas has a good shot of getting him on campus.
