Clob already has his coals smoldering. Will be waking up early to do a boudin stuffed turkey and a few pheasants to chop up as appetizers for the fam.
Happy thanksgiving to you all. We won't be celebrating this year we decided, since the death in the family, so have some whiskey and turkey for me.
The first round of holidays and other yearly milestones like birthdays or anniversaries are hard but it gets easier. We’ll add you and your family to our prayer list tomorrow. Keep being the rock for your wife and kids.
Until 2 years ago I had never even heard of an atmospheric river. But a couple of years ago around Christmas time the whole state was engulfed by one. But at the time we were in a drought and by springtime the whole state benefited. We also went on to rainy winter.
I still don't understand what an atmospheric river is but we had another one last week. We had a particularly brutal dry summer here so it was good for us. Now here the kicker when we have a rainy winter my wife and I can drive from the Folsom to the Oakland hills and it's all green. In December. Some years this is a nice place to live in the wintertime 😊 Happy Turkey Day
PS... for the first time the Detroit Lions are worth watching on Turkey Day
