How did we surrender over 400 yards to UTSA? Miss tackles rearing it’s ugly head ? Did The coaches get out coached or what ? First half was abysmal and again special teams not real special giving up onside kick.

I didn't quite know what to think of that 275 lb TE thing they run in there. I bet in their conference db's hate to see him coming. That qb had a very odd throwing motion, probably closest I've seen to a Josh Heupel type delivery of pushing the ball
Utsa is a decent team with a quality mobile QB and a quality coach. In the end, it was a good win.
Yes, the defense has some issues. We will see moving forward if there is progress. The UTSA team was held 21 points below their average score of 41-42 points. Not bad.
We hadn't held opponents to less than 20 points in three games since 2011
UTSA had a veteran QB that could start for most teams in the Big 12 and 3 receivers that were experienced and really good as well. A 21 point win with a backup QB was a good win for how we started off. Enjoy the win and get ready for Tech.
1st half was a serious lack of energy and commitment.
2nd half, I think UTSA had like 230 total yards, 56 on the last drive vs. all backups. The defense had a pick 6 and 2 sacks as well as several QB hurries. And UTSA only scored 3 points.
Harris is just a good freaking QB. UTSA returned 4/5 OL and their top 3 WR that accounted for like 2600 receiving yards.
Texas held them to 20 points.
