I have no idea how this game will go. I’ll rely on the public versus sharp betting trends in thinking that Baylor covers and the game goes under. Something tells me Texas hangs on to win in a game that the fans still won’t be happy about.

The trend of Texas games decided by one possession and/or overtime will continue this weekend against Baylor. At least I think it will because who knows what to truly expect from the Bears given their season to date?
That said, 54.5% of the games Tom Herman has coached at Texas have been decided by eight points or less. That's probably what's going to happen again Saturday. And it'll probably be an ugly game. Again.
At home, Texas's advantage in talent and quarterback should get it over the hump, but the way it'll look won't calm the burnt orange masses.

Bri Bagwell is playing at the OB tailgate tomorrow at Rosewood and she told me that she went to Texas from 2005-09. Now that she makes her return, I have no doubt that the universe will be restored for a day.

Texas has its back against the wall, and this is a game I expect to see the Longhorns swinging and connecting.
Baylor has played only two games this season and missed over a week of practice. Baylor's only victory is against Kansas. It was defeated by West Virginia in two overtimes. Texas has been tested more than Baylor this season, and that should mean something.
If Sam Ehlinger is on his A-game, and the Longhorns can get more production from their running backs, this should be a breakthrough performance for Texas.

I’m not sure what to make of this Texas team, and I’m sure as hell not sure what to make of Baylor.
On paper, this one looks like it will be another fairly close game if Baylor can get Charlie Brewer going. But I do expect Texas to control Baylor’s ground game, and Sam Ehlinger should have enough success for the Longhorns to pick up a much-needed conference win.
Texas 34 – Baylor 27
