Oregon or OSU

Texas has NO chance of winning against Ohio State University (boat raced Oregon in the Rose Bowl by 3 TDs).
Texas has a chance but honestly, that effing OSU team is scary.

I read on ESPN a while back that OSU could have 16 to 18 players drafted in the next NFL draft which would break the record of 15 by Georgia around 3 or 4 years ago. Saying that OSU is absolutely loaded is a huge understatement

This is this matchup I did not want, but I knew we’d run into. OSU is really good we’ve seen. OSU has been racing out to early leads, if they do against us, I don’t see us coming back. Our inconsistent run game is also a big problem among other things, penalties, missed FGs.

OSU is the best team right now. They are dialed in. I believe we’ll measure up when we meet. It’s going to be a great game. I can’t wait.
We need to turn this into a slop fest. Our offense is simply too spotty to try and out score these guys Playstation style. If we win this game, it will be another ugly win.

There is no transitive property of football. The fact that we beat Michigan and they lost to Michigan is irrelevant. OSU has by far the best collection of skill players that we have seen this year, maybe the best in college football. I'm not sure how good the O line is but they have only given up 12 sacks this season and they average 5 yards per rush. Our defense is really good but I don't think we will shut this team down. I don't think they will score a ton of points and will keeps us in the game.

However, Offense is a different story. We have to be consistent on offense and try to run the ball. Even if it isn't working we have to stick to the run game to eat up clock and take shots on occasion. If we have multiple 3 and outs or short drives then all bets are off. Our drives vs ASU were 2, Punt Return, 3, 13, 1, Half 3, 1, 13, 2, 9, 8. and they had the ball for 37 minutes. If that happens vs OSU then its going to be ugly.

The OSU O-Line was their concern towards the end of the year - and against Michigan - as the lost 2 or 3 because of injury. Looks like they have it figured out as they have not given up a sack in the 2 games they've played in the Playoffs

I miss the days when transitive property was real.
Texas beats TCU by 20.
TCU beats Baylor by 10.
Texas beats Baylor by 30.
But everybody ran similar offenses. Now- as you know- it comes down to metrics and match ups. It's a numbers game.

To say that Ohio State beat Oregon by 3 TD's is likewise irrelevant. I'm pinning all of my hopes on Will Howard. OSU has NFL talent up and down the lineup. EXCEPT at QB. He was a 4 loss QB every year at K State, and had one foot out the door because he could not beat out Avery Johnson. He single handedly lost the first game to Oregon with the bone headed scramble to run out the clock. And he looked like an 8-4 guy against Michigan. He is who he is. Stop the run. Double team the freshman receiver. Make Will Howard beat you - he can't do it.

We can beat them but we can't give them any help. No bone head plays or penalties. In some games it seems like everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Last game was like that, we found a way to win anyway. If we play a clean game we have a good shot to beat them.

He was 24/29 for 311, 2 TDs and a Pic vs Tennessee and 17/26 for 319 and 3 TDs vs Oregon. I think he is good enough. They have 2 really good backs and their second and third receiver are pretty good too. They are going to score points on us. The question is can we score points on them.

Well who was that idiot that said Oregon was the team to beat? I can't remember his name but it had some west coat ring to it.

Hey a few days ago Nick Saban said Ohio State had the most talent. Maybe NS is a prophet.

On a more serious note. Man Ohio States front four is awesome.

And we are down 2 NFL caliber tackles on our Oline.....
That's not a good recipe.

Those of you that have played any meaningful football games in your lifetime, know that its just diff when you have to hear all week long about how your team has no chance to win. It becomes personal and very motivating.

I like our chances better as a dog. :)
