Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. said Monday that DNA tests are useless to determine tribal citizenship and don't distinguish whether a person's ancestors were indigenous to North or South America.

He said "using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong."

Well Cherokee nation don't know shit. My DNA guy compared my DNA to that of ancient southern Greek. Says it's proof positive of my Native American ancestry.

DNA testing and Native American heritage is very questionable at this point. There are centuries of church records to match the genealogy to the DNA from European immigrants. Basically the Dawes and Baker Rolls from ~150 years ago are the first record of Native American heritage for the USA.

I did get a kick out whoever claimed Latin American natives are not native Americans. Ha ha ha.

Going over this in stats class tomorrow based on what I saw at the store tonight while picking up some beer. Chance of winning is 1 in 303 million. Purchasing a single ticket gives you a 1 in 303 million chance. Buying a second ticket gives you a 1 in 303 million chance with a second ticket. It does not give you a 1 in 151 million chance. A person in front of me dropped 100 bucks on tickets. Each ticket has a 1 in 303 million chance of winning. Their odds of winning are really no different than if they would have bought 1 ticket.

FB, as a full-blooded American of Mexican descent, (at least until my DNA test shows that I'm more native American than Liawatha Warren) I'm here to 'splain the different uses of pozole and caldo. Now we're coming onto caldo season, nothing beats a big bowl of it, with some fresh flour tortillas when the temperature drops. Now pozole, that will set you right after a night of adult beverages or serve the same purpose as caldo when it's cold. With pozole however, you'll need corn tortillas and lots of fresh diced onion....

Yes sir along with sliced cabbage, Mexican oregano, lime and radish. Making some Friday because it's starting to feel like Fall finally and there's nothing like that first pozole bowl of the year.

You need a new stats class. Of course you double your chances with two unique tickets. If you bought 303 million unique tickets, each ticket would have a 1 in 303 million chance but YOU would have a 100% chance of winning.

Just FYI the genealogy report said anywhere from 1/64 to 1/1028. Does 1/64 actually mean anything? Not really, it's a great-great-great-great-grandparent. Do some of you guys know who that is in your lineage? Maybe?

The whole thing is a complete distraction from important events like Trump taking KSA's word that they didn't murder a permanent US resident when all information is pointing to the opposite. I thought cons were supposed to hate muslims and 9/11 (KSA bigly involved).

Ya, well, unfortunately your are wasting your time. I understand where you are coming from, and I also enjoy fact filled world. Most of the people in this thread busting on Elizabeth Warren are trumpites. They live in their own world. Lupar, in fairness, I don't think that's what's happening here. I think the absurdity of someone trying to prove a point by saying "See! I'm %0.18 indian!" is just asking to be poked fun at. Instead of saying "well, it looks like my grandma was full of sh!t and lied to me, that sucks..." she chose to double down.

I've done a genetics test. It came back saying I was %0.24 west African. So by her rationale, I'm a black guy. I'm as white as it gets. When you double down on something so silly, folks are going to have a little fun at your expense. I have fun at others' expense all the time on this board for their awful predictions.... I poke fun at people in my life for saying silly sh!t too. I don't mean any harm by it.... and I've had it done to me as well. No need to be hyper sensative man.
