I don't see why people want to build where it got fires every year, seems like ya building every year, , bet their Insurance payments are a bitch if they an get it, seems like there aught be a law against rebuilding in a fire zone...it would save lives and property....,that's Cali for you.....

Yeah, insurance premiums would be problematic, but you can bet your ass that pelosi will have enough dollars (we don't have) in the next reconciliation bill to cover everyone.

Clear out the underbrush, deadwood, and cut fire lines. It's common sense. Even at Texas state parks we are not allowed to touch the deadwood. It's stupid. They get what they deserve.

This^^^

Its called forrest management.

Instead we stop doing it and blame fires on climate change.

During the 2019 CA fires - some of the worst in history - Trump visited the state and told Newsom the damage could be mitigated through proper forest management (cleaning out underbrush and dead wood). Newsom told him straight up climate change is the problem.
Now that Orangeman is gone, Newsom is changing his tune. https://www.gov.ca.gov/2021/04/13/g...ng-projects-to-protect-high-risk-communities/

Recipe for fires Cali style -

1. Stop investing in electrical transmission updates so grid gets stressed
2. Stop clearing out growth under/around transmission lines so stressed equipment has fuel
3. Invest money instead in non-sustainable, feel good energy tech
4. Stop all forestry management
5. Burn up and blame climate or Orange Man if available
