OT: Chicago Hotel and Restaurant Suggestions

Going to Chicago for work for 2 days early March. There are two of us going that are in our mid 20s and have never been to Chicago before. Any suggestions on where to stay/eat? Hotel probably needs to be around $250 or less/night and dinner needs to be less than $50 pp before drinks.
