OT: Disney World hotel recs, do I need to visit Animal Kingdom?

I live in AZ and have taken the kids to Disney Land the last few summers. I am planning a trip for Disney World here in October. I grew up in Houston and always loved Epcot. My plan is to get a 3 day park hopper and do Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. My kids are 12 and 9 and we have seen lots of Zoos. So planning on passing on the Animal Kingdom.

Still choosing between Boardwalk Inn, Contemporary Resort, and Yacht Club.

Appreciate any advice!
