OT: Favorite comfort food (hey it’s off season)

For me there are two;

1. Pinto beans and cornbread with pico de Gallo
2. Fried spam mixed in Kraft Mac & cheese.

When Mrs. Bevotex and I first got married GE moved us to San Jose, CA in the early 80’s. My salary was $48k a year. We had a little apt off of Saratoga & I-280. There were many weekends I would make either of these dishes (that I grew up with) we would walk across the street to the Lucky Grocery store and buy a 1.5 liter bottle of Lucky brand rum and Diet Coke. We would play canasta non-stop and eat what I cooked. Fun times that we still do today.
