bout to re-up the fly box and get a new rig for the upcoming season. Going 4wt, and thinking shorter rod for more technical casting due to the amount of overhanging trees and awkward banks we have to deal with. Heard good things about Lamson Reels, having a harder time deciding on rod manufacturer. And fast vs slow action rods
Gonna hit Living Waters for the flies. Creek Leeches, Woolies, Banditos, Matt Bennett's Rio Getters, and crawfish imitations are my wheelhouse, and a clouser as my fish finding fly. Have y'all found any new or recent patterns that have been working well for you? Also, any good top water flies y'all love?
I mostly fish Brushy, the San Gabe, San Marcos, Guad, and the Llano.
