Anyone ever cheapened out and tried to re-stain polyurethaned hardwood floors? Yes I plan to re-finish them properly one day, but for now I am looking at DIY options. E.g. light screening then recoat with stained poly -or- just applying some one-step water- based poly-shade product with zero screening.
