I do beer sales in Austin and the Spring was great for us. The last 3 weeks has been abysmal and sales are almost nothing.

I’m salaried and our Brewery is doing fine itself but I just talked to a GM at a high end restaurant in East Austin and he used the word “hitstoric” when talking about how slow it’s been. He also mentioned his overall cost of living has risen $1000/mo for his family of 4.

It wasn’t this bad last year and the summer was soooooo much hotter. So anecdotally just wondering if your cost of living increases have finally led to tangible actions with dinining out? My wife makes 5x what I do and it hasn’t slowed down her (ahem) appetite for going out to dinner. She also is WFH so she gets stir crazy.

Hope this can stay in the main board but I’m sure it will get political…
