So I work for a small Austin Brewery and I'm on a mission to get my owners to get me a mainstream beer with a Texas name and a distinctive tap handle that will help me sell into new accounts that have established beer mainstays. They want to do a blonde as there isn't a dominant player in Austin, they're relatively inexpensive to make and honestly it's a pretty crushable beer from a guy that doesn't really like blondes (beer).
As you beer drinkers will attest brewers tend to get super deep cutty and obscure with their names. I'd like this to be clever but not too clever. In fact the simpler the better. Want catch the eye of tourists and residents with something not too complicated.
Looking to do something like Austin Amber, McConauhaze, Native Texan Pilsner etc... Looking to take a big swing and see if we can make something that catches on. I also look forward to the ridiculous suggestions that OB is famous for
