Dear OB Brothers
I lost my dad yesterday. 80 years old Hospice situation w end stage Alzheimer’s and heart failure. It was a literal shit show at the end. It was so bad that the last 2 weeks I prayed that god would take him while he slept. Thank you god btw.
Anyway. As a kid - dad was my hero. As a grownup -he was my friend and and mentor
My dad was a great man. I was blessed to have him as my father.
He graduated from Youngstown State but was also a huge Longhorn Fan
Among the lessons he taught me over the years
* respect all women - beginning with your mom
* don’t be a dumbass
* as a kid he would tell me “I am your dad - not your friend” super critical lesson in parenting btw.
* stand up to your bullies. Don’t be a bitch
* get a damn Job. Work hard !
* did I mention - don’t be a dumbass 😂
Anyway. RIP dad.
You will be missed every day
