I posted an update to my becoming a grandpa thread, but not sure most will see it...
Please keep the prayers coming for baby V, she may have developed pneumonia, she had to be transported to another NICU that specializes in her type of case. This has been extremely stressful for our family. Baby C is doing very well, she just needs to gain weight and she can come home. My daughter is home resting, but now she and her husband have to travel to two different NICU's to be with their new twins. I feel helpless, not much we can do but help with their daily basic needs.
TIA
Update afternoon of May 10th:
SIL just texted that baby V is looking good! IV fluids have been reduced and breathing room air with the CPAP to help keep her lungs open, so big progress on that front. She started her antibiotics and all of that is going well so far!
Not out of the woods, but good progress, please keep the prayers coming!
Thank you so much!
Another text from my SIL regarding baby C. She is gaining weight and may be able to come home today or tomorrow. Two great updates today, thank you all for praying and posting good wishes.
EVENING UPDATE:
Baby C is home! Baby V is still in NICU, but stable. We get to see baby C tomorrow, can't wait!
Really appreciate the continued prayers!
May 11th UPDATE:
Hey All,
Great news, Baby C is home and I got to hold her, man I can't describe the feeling of seeing that little cutie for the first time, so great!
Baby V is doing better, she's off IV fluids and they are backing off on the CPAP to see if she can breathe on her own and she's eating well. Still got a ways to go, but making good progress. Thanks for all of the prayers and good wishes.
UPDATE MAY 12th:
Great news, baby V is off the oxygen and CPAP, she's breathing on her own! Next focus is getting her to eat more, if so, she'll be on the fast track to get home to be with her sister baby C.
Again, can't thank y'all enough for your prayers!
UPDATE: May 26th
Baby V gets to come home today after 22 days in NICU. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, they've been answered PTL!
