Wondering if anyone else is in this situation...
I've been on a medication for over 10 years. My insurance (Anthem) requires a pre authorization from the Dr. They have always done this. Now, my Dr. says they will no longer do this. "Too much time on the phone with the insurance company, and no compensation". I called Anthem and even though I have my medical history (patient portal) they won't honor the claim without dr office calling. Catch fvcking 22. I hate insurance companies. yeah, i've tried GoodRX but it is still a significant amount of money.
Anyone else having this issue and what is your path forward? I'm likely going to have to change Dr's at this point.
