A request for an update on Solar. I am an attorney who has sued some solar companies- the ones who oversell and underdeliver. With subsidies going away and interest rates higher it seems like the business has slowed considerably and some installers have gone out of business.
So, is this a good time to price solar for the house? I have a shop with an unobstructed view to the south so I know I would have as good coverage as possible. Looking for a battery wall for use at night time. I know the local electric companies HATE to buy back electricity and want to pay as little as possible. So I don't even want to try to sell back to the utility. IOW, I see this as a way to go off the grid. And I only want American parts from a company that stands behind the product.
Any thoughts? Referrals for good installers?
