Anyone else stay home from work? So cold I had 8 deer in front and backyard. Never seen that since I’ve lived here.

It's cold in Dallas. I managed to make it in to work today though. I live further north and we got zero precipitation last night. Doesn't look as if Dallas got anything either. That certainly didn't stop anyone from freaking out yesterday.

We have sleet and it rained enough. About 29 deg right now with frozen plants and grass.

26 in Gruene. I've lived here for over a decade and never turned on my heater. Seriously contemplating it now.

I've got a long commute so if the roads are even a little iffy I stay home but I couldn't justify anything this morning.

What I don't understand is my area was only going to get a dusting (if anything) with nothing expected to cause icy roads. So worst case scenario our roads were barely going to be impacted and anything if all the sun would take care of this morning. Yet rewind to yesterday afternoon and see all the idiots buying up all the milk and bread as if you weren't going to be able to drive for a week

19 in Frankston, Tx., about 30 mi. south of Tyler.

Got a little snow and ice last night and it's not going anywhere today.

I live in N. Dallas wind chill was 4 Degrees when I left for work this morning, wayyyyyyy too cold!!

I live in Iowa so its single digits (plus wind). If it gets up to the 40's this week we will break out the shorts and t-shirts.

It’s snowing now. 2 times in one year has to be a first for me.
Sleeting here earlier. I went outside and poured a single malt into a glass and sat it on the deck railing. I walked back in the house, took a leak, checked a quick text message, walked back outside and collected my scotch on the mini rocks.

Tasty.

Welp still freezing our huevos off in Houston. Another day at home. Currently 18 degrees with 70% humidity and feels like 9 degrees. Definitely miss the 50’s and 60’s range.

I have stayed home two days now. My "little old man" job doesn't pay well enough to hazard a Crew Cab Pickup on road humps. Even my back up route has one hump over a Train yard. I'll probably go in tomorrow.

I work at a place with a lot of good damn yankee people. They always laugh as we close down Houston when it gets to the 20s. It got to 18 last night and is about to recover to 32 right about now. But that is the only move. Houston has no anti Ice program . Couple that with the fact that we all drive @ 65 because they do not slow the &^%$%^% trucks down. I refuse to drive 60 looking at a box AND we have a lot of folk that think traffic is their opportunity to practice their AJ Foyt skills in and out of Houston's balled up traffic...at 80-90...

I had a fire going all day yesterday in the doublewide watching wrasslin’ re-runs.

Speaking of juevos, I went to the steam room this morning before work. I can't tell you how delighted the boy and the boys were. Gives everybody a chance to stretch their legs.

I thought you had sisters to keep you ou fans warm at night.
Not a sister, but the wife keeps me plenty warm. Here's our Christmas pic from last year

Come back in the summer and tell me the temps.

Oh no doubt, it gets hotter n hell here in the summer. I know what 122 in the shade feels like. The inside of a car parked outside during 122 reaches about 180. If you grab the stearing will, it will change shape to match your grip. Selling carpet inserts for your car dashboard is big business here, as are solar shades. This is because after a year or two in the Phoenis sun, your plastic dashboard will crack in a thousand places. Looks like crap when it happens.

But me personally, I can deal with heat a lot better than I can deal with cold. I just can't stand cold weather. That's why I moved to Phoenix from Austin! I got married in Austin on Dec 23 . . . it was 0 degrees! I moved to Phoenix a couple weeks later. So, I'll take the 3 months of hell for the 9 months of . . . 'ah perfect!' Our winter this year consisted on 1 week, seriously 1 friggin week, of temps below 50 degress and then it was gone. It's been 60 or 70 ever since.

Still damn cold but work is open so back to the grind. Hope everyone kept safe and no busted pipes.

I got promoted at work a few months ago and transferred to missouri. It was -11 the other day. had to go outside for a few minutes and it was so cold it gave me a headache

Lol at belldozer trying to still pedal that idea that he lives in a double wide.........
Somebody has been doing their research. OK, I'll come clean, I don't actually live in a double wide, it's just a single wide but it's a big single wide.
