Rookie mistake numero uno........

Don't ever walk into the Cotton Bowl thinking it's a lock. It never is. Some fvcking weird sh!t always happens. It's like that spot on the planet was built atop some gateway into an alternate universe. I think it's the corndogs...

That’s exactly why I’ve been telling Oklahoma fans not to overlook Auburn cause they lost to Cal. That’s actually one of the games I have them losing.

The only team left that is a win is Maine. They will lose every other game.

The beat down of Michigan in the Big House was an all time great. However it means nothing until we take care of business against OU next month. Beat them first , then get excited.
Actually, we have UTSA this week. Looking ahead to OU would be a mistake. They will have a losing record.

The Jackson Arnold is a turnover machine. He sucks.

Remember 2015. OU came into the Cotton Bowl undefeated with a win over Tennessee on the road. Texas had one win which was Rice and had lost to TCU the week before 50-7.
Horns walked away from Dallas with a 24-17 win.

6 tds to 1 interception doesnt tell us he's a turnover machine. He has some work to do, so does the OL, but 1 interception over 57 attempts doesnt spell turnover machine. ewers has 1 interception on his 63 attempts.

One of those will be a top 5 pick and the other will transfer to an FCS school next year.

I see 7-5 at worst. Their defense is pretty good still.

He had 5 TO's vs Arizona which is a mediocre team. He's been below average against 2 cupcakes and now he's a world beater.
No he didnt. And even if he did, 2023 still has nothing to do with this 6:1 td/int ratio that he has in 2024, which is the same that ewers has. Yes he's been below average, with a complete shit show at OL, and missing 4 of his top 5 wrs, and yet still has the same number of touchdowns and interceptions as your lord and savior.

In regard to them being mediocre, Arizona's defense would have been #2 in the big 12 last year. They had a 10-3 record with half of their wins coming against ranked teams. Their QB is averaging over 300 yards passing a game, for his entire career. In fact he had 3 touchdowns against the same washington that ewers only had 1 td against. They have one of the best WRs in the country. And finally, just incase you werent aware, arizona has the longest winning streak in college football.

Please do explain, with great detail, how mediocre that is.

Arnold will be fine. He will struggle this year at times, but he will be fine. The Twitter dorks calling for BV to pull the plug already are idiots. Opposing fans will give you and your guys shit.

With that said, Navy put up 38 on Temple in 3Qs and UNLV Runnin' Rebs put up 9 more points on Houston than OU.

Yep they sure did. OU is a much less capable offense when they have this many injuries on the OL and WR. No excuses, It is what it is, the qb will be limited by these factors. They have to be better and I feel pretty confident in the best version of their OL when healthy. they were down to the 4th string center, they have a guy who was an all american they hope to have back saturday. if so then they wont have to pull a starting LG to be C. which means they wont need to pull the starting LT to be the new LG which means they wont have to start a rookie at LT. Guys are all out of position and it's showing. I think they will be fine when healthy but they have to be better, the standard is what it is.

What the hell is Bill B doing??? He has way more chops than me obviously, but I always had the philosophy that if I'm pulling starters from their starting spot to fill in another spot then I'm missing two starters...and so on

I'm sure he has his reasons, but pulling that many guys to new spots seems like pissing in the wind.

He's doing what he does almost every year, moving people around and finding what works best. OU is very lucky to have players who are capable of playing multiple positions on the OL and that's one thing he likes his players to be able to do, because of situations like this.

It's like this, sometimes the 2nd best G is the starting RT. so if a single G goes down, and the backup G is worse than the starting RT, then the RT becomes the G and the RT's backup comes in. maybe the backup RT is more dependable than the backup G. The backup G is playing C because the 4th string C isnt as good as he is. The first two weeks they played their 3rd string C with a torn bicep because his backup wasnt ready. it goes like that. now he's out for the year so they have to use another G to play that C position which means now the depth at G is impacted.

They just need their starting C and starting LT to be back strong and healthy, and everyone else will be able to play their natural positions and then we can see how good or bad they really are.

it certainly isnt helping that 4 of their 5 best WRs are out.

They're supposed to get their receivers back this week and who knows how long it will take for them to be set at ol. Next week Oklahoma starts conference play. I think the Tennessee game will show me what to expect from Oklahoma this year. And they will have another test when they play Auburn the following weekend. Dyk that both teams will have a bye week before the RRR game?

* I said that the Tennessee game was at Knoxville it's at Norman. I stand corrected.

It won’t matter. If the Sooners don’t improve drastically on the offensive side of the ball, Tennessee will boat race them in their house.

I hate to say it but this is true. I'm not even sure we'll win today against the fvcking Green Wave! lol

If we lose today, it's katie bar the fvcking door.

On the upside Crimson, I don’t see you guys headed to the Strong / Herman wasteland. Defense is better. Vegetables is getting that side built like he wants it. Offense is dealing with a lot of injuries and a young QB. When all looks lost this year, think about John Blake. Then things won’t look so bad.

Apparently they don’t have guys that can play all over because they’re a hot mess.

How the **** do you have a dozen two deep just on O hurt?

Either you’re exaggerating that number, the S&C guy sucks, or the kids recruited are made of glass.

Oh man you know it's bad when your arch-rivals are offering words of encouragement! Lol

But thank you for being gracious in this instance Etlonhorn. It speaks well of you.

Hope for no injuries and fair officiating for the UT kids against the roadrunners!

I don’t want to split hairs, but Strong is really in a class of his own. Herman at least got us a 4-0 bowl record and a 0.64 overall record. Vegetables isn’t better than Herman at this point, imho.

I has confuse.......

Tulare is the "Green Wave"..... but they are wearing powder blue helmets and pants.

Is it Tulane that has confuse?
Probably the dumbest and ugliest uniforms I have ever seen

I’m sorry. I’ve jinxed the entire season for the Longhorns. I’m an idiot and have been humbled. FFS

Oklahoma is our biggest rival and you just don't write them off. We all made that mistake last year and I was probably the worst.

In my opinion the Tennessee game will let us know what Oklahoma will bring to the table this year.

Tennessee is beating Kent St by 43 with 13 minutes left in the 2nd QUARTER!! Sooners better find some pictures of Heipel screwing a goat or something.
Holy crap the final score was 72-0.......

Damn......Kent state hasn't seen s massacre like that since 197......oh wait a minute--
I did this joke in 2016 after Kent state got shallacked and someone said it was "still too soon" for a joke that offputting .....

So........

Still too soon?
