Hi All,

We have a group coming to Austin this year for the first time and are wondering which parking lots are best for tailgating. My top criteria would be:

--Relatively big lot with many people tailgating
--Opens as early as possible before the game

We're not worried about traffic and don't mind paying 100-200 for parking. We are not interested in garages or cheaper/convenient parking miles from the stadium as our main interest is tailgating.

From the looks of the parking map on Stubhub I would probably go for the Navy Blue lot ($120-210) or the Pink lot ($100-220) but I'm hoping for some local advice. I'd appreciate anything you can tell me.

You are not permitted to tie your mule to city light poles. Do not attempt to make special arrangements for out house privlidges. We don't have out houses. So don't go eating a bunch of stuff and expect comfortable seating in the shade. All the available free outhouses are located in College station. They are free to all, just say Howdy! As per local custom, Please feel free to wipe yourself on the little collie dogs that are provided for that very purpose. It is OK. it is expected , it is tradition! And greatly appreciated. Nothing is better in college station than A hearty dump and a great wipe on the collie! Give out with a sigh and say "whoop, good bull". No need to tip most are doing "community service".

See ya at the game! Oh, I have no idea about parking and stuff, but I have just given dozens of Longhorns a laughing fit with my instructions. And welcome to Austin, Enjoy our city, the barbecue, and the game. And be safe.

As much as I'd like to pile on (panther piss, mayonnaise sandwich eating inbreds, standing around naked and staring at the sun) either lot will make tailgating accessible to you.
