I think Paul Chryst has to be the best coach of college football, as of the 11th game of the 2016 season. Wisconsin never gets 4 & 5 star players, so they teach and instill a philosophy of football, especially defense (which is the element of the game which wins championships) and tell me what you think. Look at their season. Wisconsin does not make mistakes, is not frequently penalized, and you must play your best game to beat them.

I stumbled upon this truth through my football pool, but investigate this idea for yourselves through stats and records. I will take Paul Chryst, if Charlie leaves. He went to Wisconsin and would be hard to lure away (which is another favorite attribute of mine).

How'd he do at Pittsburgh? Doesn't Barry Alvarez run Wisconsin as AD, forcing HC to run a specific style? UT gets far too much talent and can get more talent to run a system like Wisconsin or Stanford or Michigan... They all run pro-style offenses and play defense, BUT where are the spread teams on their schedules? Not the run spreads, but the Washingtons, Oregons, WSU, Techs, TCUs, Okie lite, Baylor...

If Strong is replaced this year, we need a coach that this very familiar with playing and defending the spread. If we do that, we have an excellent shot at winning the Big 12 and making the playoffs.
