Have you heard the theory that a super physical team can impact how their opponent plays the following week? And some games are so physical, coaches almost excuse a lackluster game the following week.

This theory might not be all that new. I bring this up because I was wondering if the Georgia game had any affect on how Texas played against Vanderbilt. I think we all agree Saturday’s game should have been Texas 42, Vandy 13.

Thinking of said theory, I did a little research (1310 drop). How have Georgia’s opponents fared the next weekend?

Kentucky - Won 41-6 against Ohio U.

Bama - Lost 40-35 at Vandy

Auburn - Lost 21-17 Mizzou (bye in between the two games)

Miss. St. - Lost 34-24 at home v. A&M

Texas - Won 27-24 at Vandy

I didn’t include Georgia’s first two games because Clemson played App. State the next week and Georgia played Tenn. Tech in Week #2. Conclusion - this theory has merit.
