Pirate vs overpaid

Let’s do the math $$ per win with jumbo contract…....never mind, too much whiskey to figure that high figure.

I'm not into schadenfreude, well yes I am. Aggie tears are a lifelong enjoyment. I can't even-- at home against The Pirate. Up next Alabama.

Anyone that knows Leach, the pirate, knows how much that he loathes aggy. Leach is laughing all the way back to Starkville tonight, as he should! Pooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr aggys!!!

I was truly surprised by Leach sitting on the ball at the end of the game. The Leach I remembered would have pushed for the TD and settled for the field goal at least; anything to add points and rub it in.
Maybe he is getting soft.

The Pirate is staking his claim.

I love it. The Pirate absolutely HATES a&m and loves to rub it in. Well done, MSU! aggy going to lose three in a row after Bama crushes them this weekend. I'm not sure that a&m even scores.

Bama is going to be rough. Scheme was REALLY bad vs MIss St. The pattern has been for us to give up a bit in the first half and then the half time adjustments against all of these teams have been really good. Miss St was pathetic. Rush 3 and drop 8 the whole game and NEVER send pressure. They played 2 deep with corners 10 yards off the ball and never pressed the receivers or jammed them on the line throwing off their timing. They could do whatever they wanted. It was Mike Elko's worst performance by far.
No secret...Calzada sucks ass. Jimbo still is living in the old school with this offense. It works with a good quarterback, but Calzada can't see the field at all. Bama will bend us over and honestly I'm just not sold on beating Missouri and South Carolina after that. Yes, I know they are bad, but so is this team right now. We then get a bye and King comes back. It is a better run offense under him. As the poster said above though, I too could see 7-5.
I did not have the lofty expectations as many had. I did think it was going to be a bit of a rebuild with you whole o-line leaving except 1. The quarterback is always a mystery. I do want to see King for more games before I make a decision on him. He will be above average in my opinion, but he won't be a star. Enter Weigman and I do feel the next few years could be good. This does concern me a BIT with recruiting right now. I want to close this class out since there are MANY elite players we are in on.

Looking forward to watching the OU-Texas game. I think Texas wins. OU has barely survived each week. They won't be able to play another C- game and win.

I was called crazy by an Aggie this year when I said 8-4 or 7-5. They are lucky they don't have Georgia, Florida, or Kentucky this year. It's not easy to replace pretty much your whole offensive line and QB, and especially not in the SEC.

How long does A&M give Jumbocontract to stay?

a&m is recruiting really good. Hopefully when the losses start piling up, and coupled with the fact that Texas is joining the SEC, that will help to sway some of the top ranked recruits our way.

Here's the deal @BigBrotherAgs, I'm reading today that ESPN is probably going to foot the bill so UT and OU make the transition to bro league next year. At that point what enthusiasm you have for Jumbo righting the ship should diminish exponentially. Some over there on Texags were claiming your defense was elite. I got booted for reminding some of your Aggie brethern that your run defense was ranked 87th in the country before you played the Pirate.

I will say this in defense of your team's recent struggles. Losing your starting qb sucks and does change your win loss record more than likely. Not sure how good King is but he was your starter and presumably better than your backup. Oline is obviously important for your qb to be successful.

King struggled against Kent State 2 TD and 3 INTs. I believe King is better than Calzada but King isn’t/wasn’t the answer either. They haven’t found their QB and I honestly don’t think Jumbocontract has an eye for one. I guess we’ll see since he’ll be there for 10 years.

I'd say that King is slightly better than Calzada, and that's not saying much. a&m is not a good team with their QB and OL issues. Bama is going to absolutely mud hole them on Saturday night. I'm not sure that aggy will score. The line is Bama -17. That is an absolute gift. They will win by 30+.

If they score it’s on a KO/P return. It won’t be offense and if so it will be 4th Qtr Alleybama 3rd team defense.

They woulda been better off but Craig James ****ed that up because his son just wasn't very good.
Don't forget Gerald Myers part in it all. He was butthurt that he wasn't the god on campus anymore and it was all about Leach. So when Craig handed him that he ran with it as fast as he could! When the crap hit the fan for that suddenly Myers goes away........

Same thing with Bobby Knight?

Put the jar down and get counceling.

Saban will take it easy on aggy. Game will be decided within the first 14.

Ah, but remember this summer when Jimbo said at one of the aggy preseason rallies that "he was going to beat Saban's ass". I'm thinking that 'ol Nick may have that quote pinned up somewhere in his office. Bama by 30+!

Sadly as an Aggie, I got that line early and put quite a bit on that one. I can't see how it will be possible for them to stay within 25. They can't score. Don't judge me...I like money as well.

Let me tell you how.......

Bama has relegated you to Rice status. Which means they aren't coming to College Station all fired up and ready to nut punch you like they used to want to do to LSU and Auburn etc.

Bama is in the stratosphere now. So far up that it's impossible for us, them and everyone else to understand. There's such a huge separation in talent right now, that Bama can nary get fired up for a game that's not a "play-off" game. This is the 1920s-30s and Bama is the Zeppelin. Nobody can touch them, and they don't realize what they're doing.
Yes, it will come crashing down one day. But your guess is as good as mine when that will be.

But you do have a shot this weekend. Simply because Bama doesn't see you as a threat.

Jimbo on Saban back in May of this year: “We’re going to beat his ass.”

I’m sure that’s all over the Bama locker room.
