Let me break down the recruiting significance of this game to add some context.

A&M believed they had been slighted by not making the playoff last year. No respect!

They only lost to Bama who was the far best team in the nation last year and A&M believes they were better than anyone else.

All offseason they and Jimbo have been confident that this year was going to finally be when they get respect. I had A&M friends tell me all they have to do is get past Bama, that was the only game they thought about.

They were sure it would be a match-up between two undefeated top five teams. The BIG game!

Texas, OU, and the SEC went behind their backs and joined the SEC. They were disrespected once again. Will Texas and OU steal their thunder and displace them?

This was supposed to be the game where A&M staked their claim to be the heir to Bama and Jimbo permanently squashing any doubts about what he is building and finally earning the respect they deserve.

So they have planned all year this big recruiting weekend where a lot of their top targets will be there to watch the mighty Jimbo and A&M shock the world by covering against Bama.

So I think Saban will be somewhat motivated to embarrass A&M in front of all the recruits that A&M has so kindly scheduled to be at the game to witness the carnage. Saban wants some of them as well and it will be pretty convenient for him to come in to Kyle field and rub his nuts all over Jimbo with their prized recruits in attendance. Not that Bama needs to prove anything at this point but Saban will want to squash any recruits thoughts about A&M being on the same level. Get your popcorn ready.

Bama has relegated you to Rice status. Which means they aren't coming to College Station all fired up and ready to nut punch you like they used to want to do to LSU and Auburn etc.

Bama is in the stratosphere now. So far up that it's impossible for us, them and everyone else to understand. There's such a huge separation in talent right now, that Bama can nary get fired up for a game that's not a "play-off" game. This is the 1920s-30s and Bama is the Zeppelin. Nobody can touch them, and they don't realize what they're doing.
Yes, it will come crashing down one day. But your guess is as good as mine when that will be.

But you do have a shot this weekend. Simply because Bama doesn't see you as a threat.

Saban will have Bama ready. There will be no let down. This ain't gonna happen, clob. This will be a bloodbath. I guarantee you that Saban remembers Jimbo's comment this summer about "kicking Saban's ass". You don't tug on Superman's cape without suffering the consequences.

Nah you haven’t watched A&M at all then. They have a shot at winning the coin flip but that’s it. They will probably get blanked.

Here's the deal @BigBrotherAgs, I'm reading today that ESPN is probably going to foot the bill so UT and OU make the transition to bro league next year. At that point what enthusiasm you have for Jumbo righting the ship should diminish exponentially. Some over there on Texags were claiming your defense was elite. I got booted for reminding some of your Aggie brethern that your run defense was ranked 87th in the country before you played the Pirate.

I will say this in defense of your team's recent struggles. Losing your starting qb sucks and does change your win loss record more than likely. Not sure how good King is but he was your starter and presumably better than your backup. Oline is obviously important for your qb to be successful.

Yes, but Nick Saban isn’t going to forget Jimbo saying he was going to beat his ass. Old Nicky can just hang what he wants and snicker. Bama can play a B game pretty much against anyone but Georgia. Those 2 are the class and then everyone else is just playing for the right to get their ass kicked in the playoff.

What Bama did to Ole Miss should be illegal and probably was. I don’t watch after it was 28-0 but that dang Kiffen tossing that headset and saying get your popcorn ready before kickoff obviously thought they were fixing to surprise Bama. He looks like the goat, the bad one. Speaking of Nicky looks like there may be a good chance that Manny Diaz joins his class for misfit and cast aside coaches if he doesn’t get it together in Miami.
