The playoff picture could turn on this news. Word is their AA Center might have torn his Achilles today. They were already struggling to replace the LT and depth is an issue. Since they moved their LG(Jackson) to LT and last years Center to replace him, they will be on their 3rd team LG this weekend and for the playoffs. This leaves them without a lot of experience on the left side of the OL. It was one their strengths to start the season and now it is in trouble.
The Indiana game may have become a little more interesting on this news, but can you make a run in the playoffs with a rebuilt left side of the OL? Obviously, this could make it much easier for Indiana to keep it close or even win this weekend based on how Ohio St looked in the 2nd half of the Oregon game when they lost their AA LT, the Nebraska game the following week and Penn St keeping it close when they were making it very difficult on the left side of the OL.
Besides all the pundits talking about us being a playoff team if we lose to ATM, they all seem to suggest Indiana just keeping it competitive against OSU gives them a better chance to make it too. It sounds like that may have become much easier tonight.
