Every single Horns reporter that I’d heard speak on Jordan Washington after he committed said that he’s undoubtedly the most gifted(measurables, athleticism, hands, feel for the position) TE that Sark has had on the 40. Not saying he’s going to be Jermichael Finley… but I’m excited to see him get on the field.
RB and DT are really it I think...
QB is good, and I doubt you can get anyone better than Owens to back up
RB is hurting...we need a bruiser
WR is good...I like what is on the roster and coming in
TE is good...nice depth just no experience
OT seems to be good and I doubt there is anyone that could unseat Goosby and Baker
IOL seems to be even better than tackle from a talent standpoint
Edge is more than good here

We need help at DT, badly. Shaw was the 12th ranked overall player out of HS. I think in this environment we will see potential reached. Brevard was a very solid player in the B1G. Decent production. Terry needs to be everything, everyone has thought him to be since he was an 8th grader!
Everywhere else is pretty solid. Need the LBs to take the next step.
It is another extremely talented roster.
I see 8/10 probable draft picks in there, mostly on defense. The offense is still young.
That would give Texas around 36 picks in 3 years. Nuts production. Need to see some hardware

There are going to be some growing pains next year. If we can avoid early losses we will have a chance for the playoff. We have tOSU and Florida with Lagway early.
Awesome! I agree about Owens. I was really impressed with him during the orange-white game. I hope that he gets playing time and doesn't transfer!
Don’t forget about Bolden at WR. He’s going to have a bigger role next season with his speed and versatility. You can line him up anywhere and he’s a matchup problem for the defense.

maybe being rated the # 1 team in the too early polls shouldnt hurt us in the portal at DT......you know.....team pretty set everywhere that figures to make the playoffs that could use help at DT.....

I think 75% of the growing pains are on the OL, and understandably. I think the new DTs will streamline quickly. How well can the new guys on the back end pick up the complexities of the zone Texas likes to run?
Giving a LOT of snaps to a LOT of guys yearly helps with the integration.
That said, you are 100% correct. The good thing about Ohio State game is they will be losing just as much as Texas, but have dudes to plug in and play immediately.
Another thing...those new tackles are going to get all they want and more during Spring and summer workouts. They won't have to face many edge players like what they will see everyday in practice. Could be a great thing in their development.
Interior of the line should be interesting as a lot of new guys breaking in and wanting to earn a spot.
Also, we will lose players after Spring Ball. Probably a OL or two, and we will need to replace one spot. We will lose a WR or two, but we need one anyway. I bet one of the TE leaves
We will lose a DL, but we need another or two. And I bet we lose 1-2 players in the secondary.
So I think we will see 5-7 players in the portal in May and will need to replace at least a few of them.
And now supposedly heading back to tech. Crazy. I’m sure aggy will now say he wasn’t good enough. 🤔
