When I saw this, I thought an Aggie must be involved.
Authorities ‘suspect mistreatment’
In a story that brings us right back to real basics a man was discovered recently, unconscious, next to a dead sheep – not something that immediately suggests what authorities came to suspect. Due to the amount and siting of blood visible, it was clear that the man must have collapsed following sexual intercourse with the sheep, which presumably died during the ordeal.
Further corroborating this scenario was the fact that the man had his trousers around his ankles.
This miserable situation in Mateus, Vila Real, was verified by first responders (police and firefighters) who are described by reports as “looking at each other in shock”.
The latter ended up having to “effect reanimation efforts” on the unconscious man who came round inside the firefighters’ ambulance, and “refused transport to hospital”.
The only positive news emerging from this awful story is that authorities have now identified the man, in his 40s, for suspicion of animal mistreatment, and are investigating with a view to bringing some kind of prosecution.
The sheep’s carcass has been transported to the local municipal veterinary services, for necropsy to determine the exact cause of death. ND
