Dear OB Diary,
We got back from a trip south for Gramin's (my Mom's) 95th birthday celebration. Whole family made it in. Her mind is still sharp though obviously she is slowing down.
Mom is a 50 year retired teacher who worked for the Department of Defense her entire career, retiring from the base at Randolph.
So proud of Mom
My son opened a package from UTD, his fallback school as his grades missed the cut for TEXAS. His financial aid package was over $10,000. Part academics, part grant, and part work-study.
Eagle Court of Honor in a real court with a real judge.
Proud of my 8th Generation Texan
Needless to say 2025 off to an AMAZING start for us.
And as an added bonus, the Marine, actor and military film advisor Dale Dye has relocated to Texas with his bride and we met Thursday for a 2-hour visit to the original Black's BBQ. Some great stories.
