Proud of our 2024 longhorns

Happy 2025 my longhorn breathren. 2024 was good year for Texas football. We started the year in the playoffs for the first time. We lost but I felt like most of us did we were back with the big boys.

In the spring we had one of the best drafts in school history.

In the summer Steve McMichael became the first longhorn in 33 years to be inducted in the NFL HoF.

We started the season in a new conference. We beat the defending nc easily and in their stadium. We swamped Oklahoma and we resumed our rivalry with the aggies. Counting the SEC title game we finished 11/2. We definitely have a problem with Georgia but here we are in the playoffs. We finished the year with a playoff win over Clemson and now were in the quarterfinals.

At the end of the season we had 2 consensus All Americans. We won the Lombardi trophy, an Outland trophy and a Thorpe trophy. 3 more players made second team AA. And the recruiting keeps getting better.

And we start 2025 playing in the peach
bowl for the first time against Arizona State. Some people say that Arizona State has the longest odds. Some people say we're the favorites. I guess we'll see.

So I say 2024 was a good year now I'm going to pull for Sarkisian and his boys to bring it home in 2025 and as always

Most had predicted 8-3 or 9-2. So they have exceeded expectations. As the season went on, we all adjusted our expections and demands. Thus, I don’t think we can be proud unless we beat ASU (half way joking)

I agree on Hook em to the 2025 team. Especially, after having RBs leave for the pros, transfer and then the top 2 remaining get injured for the season. Kudos to the RBs finishing the season, the banged up OL, WRs.
And for Ewers...as much as he's been ragged on, he's helped get Texas get this far.
