How do you expect us to have a rational discussion with you on controlling access to assault weapons when you don't even know what the hell an "assault weapon" is? I have no problem keeping real assault weapons out of the hands of everyday citizens, much less terrorists. My problem is with your proclivity to call everything under the sun an "assault weapon." Hint: Any real assault weapon is fully automatic or has fully automatic selectivity. I have a Colt M4 which is the current modern version of the AR15. It is not fully automatic. My deer rifle is a lot more powerful and a lot more accurate. Educate yourselves and then we'll talk.
