Not much new to report, but I did check with Texas OL commitment Javonne Shepherd today and he confirmed that he is still on to take his Texas official visit for this weekend. Shepherd took a Thursday-Saturday visit to Georgia last week and then visited Alabama. He had previously taken an official visit to Texas A&M.
In checking around on the UGA and Bama visits, Shepherd has kept to the norm and remained pretty quiet about things. It does sound like both programs will take him if he wants to come. The info on this one is all over the place (one person told there's chatter in SEC circles that it'll be either A&M or Alabama), but everything I continue to hear is that this one likely comes down to either Texas or Texas A&M when Shepherd officially announces on NSD2 next week.
As always, things can change in a hurry with this one but as of about 30 minutes ago, Shepherd tells me he will be in Austin for his official visit beginning on Friday.
