Nothing earth-shattering here, just passing along a note ...

I had asked Tennison via text while I was in Portland if he was hitting the Under the Lights camp or had any plans to visit Texas this summer. I still haven't heard back so no new updates there.

I did text with someone from our Alabama site who told me Tennison is scheduled to visit Bama on July 21-22. With UT's UTL camp set for July 23, that would make it a pretty packed travel schedule to get back to Austin in time so I think it's safe to say it's unlikely he attends.

My stance on Tennison hasn't changed. He is still formally committed to Texas, but he's been very open that he's considering several other options and his UT pledge is soft, at best, until he sees how the Texas offense is going to look in the fall.

Originally, I thought Michigan may be the team to watch closest for a potential flip. The Wolverines could still wind up being a factor at some point, but obviously, any time Alabama gets in the mix, it's worth watching closely. A perfect example of that is with WR Tyrell Shavers, who told me last week that he had no intentions of committing to Alabama but fell in love with everything about the program while on his visit, so he pulled the trigger. The lure of Alabama is pretty strong for obvious reasons. This will be Tennison's second visit to Tuscaloosa so things could get interesting while Tennison is in town.

He's still committed to Texas as of now, but that could very well change during his visit. Even if Tennison leaves Alabama still committed to Texas, the Longhorns are going to have to work hard to hold onto his pledge.
