As most of you know, top tight end Mustapha Muhammad will announce his college decision on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Muhammad told OB earlier this week that he's down to Texas, Michigan, Clemson and UCLA.

In talking to someone tonight who covers Michigan recruiting, there's a strong sense of confidence in Ann Arbor that the Wolverines will be the choice.

Anything other than Michigan or Texas would be a surprise, and I'm not saying to give up all hope, just relaying what I heard from the Michigan side of things. Of course, the last time I checked with writers who cover another school to get intel on a tight end's decision, I was told that UT commitment Dominick Anderson would definitely be choosing Alabama ... maybe lightning will strike twice?

I'll check around some more tomorrow and hope to have another update in Thursday night's War Room (while obviously respecting the secrecy of his decision), but lots of positive talk from Michigan folks when I asked around today.

Bonus note: Here's a write-up on 2020 QB Bryce Young, who will visit UT this weekend. Young has a ton of early offers.
