Making a few calls tonight and checked in with Texas OL commitment Jaylen Garth since I hadn't talked to him in a while.
If you all remember, Garth suffered a knee injury late in fall camp and is out for the year after tearing his ACL and meniscus. The good news is that Garth is taking everything in stride and he said his rehab is progressing nicely. In fact, he's supposed to speak to his doctor tomorrow and is thinking he'll be able to ditch the crutches.
Garth said he expects to be fully cleared in late February or early March. He'll report to Texas in June. One would think a redshirt year is almost a certainty as he'll probably need a year to continue to re-build his strength.
Garth is hoping to attend the Texas-OU game on Saturday.
