I disagree. Some people in the know told me that Saban was absolutely coming to Texas, but Mack drug his feet, Saban got frustrated and ended up staying at Bama and ended up getting a raise out of the deal. Doesn't really matter though. It's a moot point now.
Lesson learned.... CDC can't wait for herman to win out. The time to strike is now. CDC is learning on the job. It's time to drop the load or get off the toilet. Clob has stated that the deal with Urban has been agreed to. We are waiting on CDC, who is learning on the job. Rome is burning while CDC fiddles with the toilet paper.

I seriously doubt Urban has agreed to anything yet, it is only a rumor right now. Herman should be fired win or lose on Monday. He has lost any momentum he had with fans, and recruits.
No, what I'm saying is that Texas wanted Mack to resign, rather than fire him. He knew that Texas wanted to hire Saban and he was pushed to resign, which he just wasn't ready to do, which screwed up the deal. Saban became frustrated that Mack didn't leave and decided to stay at Bama. He used the Texas job to get a huge raise. As I said, regardless of what either of us say or believe, it's a moot point now.

I don't doubt that he told us what he has been told and it's probably true to an extent but things like this are constantly changing from day to day. Urban can change his mind until he signs on the dotted line. Nothing is done on either side. Herman is still the coach so technically there is not even a job opening yet. Also, you really think it's CDC's lone decision on who is hired?
Sure, people can change their minds. There is only one person who will fill seats to the tune of 100K+.
CDC is the one in charge of terminating Herman. If he won't do it, Hartzel has to fire CDC and Herman. No, he's not the only one making the decision but he is tasked with carrying out the formalities so he has to be aligned.

Rumor is that Tom Herman had been demeaning Ewers behind his back. This largely stems from Ewers conservative comments on twitter in support of Trump. Herman needs to be fired now. He is a total piece of sh!t.
This link discusses Herman's comments toward Ewers but not actually what he said. I imagine because they were of a political nature that it's being withheld or that Herman will be fired for demeaning a high school junior for no reason. Herman may not see a red cent after Dec 1.

If someone desperately wants to fire an employee, but is reluctant fearing some sort of civil retribution, and said employee does stupid stuff that would allow the employer to fire away with no liability.....
