I read that TX has 18 rb/rec/te on scholarship but only 14 ol on scholarship. That explains a lot. Were losing at least 4 ol and have only 2 ol commits so far. But I do trust the coaches.

Did anyone listen to the LHN after the Baylor game? Priest Holmes and Ricky were saying there are a lot of players who know they're not going to be benched. That's an interesting take and who knows what that entails.

Man it really hurt to lose Jordan Whittington our offense has not recovered since he went down.

Our recruiting class has 13 commits on defense and 2 more on special terms. The strength of this year's class was on defense. There's no need to play them now and burn their redshirt. Maybe next year's defense will be dominated by freshman.

The only senior who has has not disappointed me is Cameron Dicker.

Cincinnati is the darlings of college fb this year. Will they be the first group of 5 school to make the playoffs I'm pulling for them. But since they rose to #2 they've been playing nervous they were lucky to beat a lousy Tulane team. If they keep playing like this even if they win out they won't make the playoffs. Although they're ranked 5th in the playoff poll somebody will jump them.

Can Baylor beat OK? Why not? Without going into detail Kirk Herbstreit says he's not impressed by OK. He said they deserved to be ranked 8th in the playoffs. You know I have to admit he's right most of the time.

Ole Miss/Aggie should be a game.

So will MSS/Auburn

Will the Pac XII have a team in the playoffs it's looking good for OR right now.

I'm always amused when the playoff rankings come out. Each week they have new predictions on who will make the playoffs. It hasn't dawned on them that there are still 3 more games plus the title games. Some of those guys need to get a real job.

Phil Knight has set up an NIL plan for OR athletics it's with reading about we need to do the same. The bmd want to be so damn hands on with the fb team this will give them something to do. NIL will play a crucial role in recruiting now.

When we are in the SEC the University of Texas will no longer be the big dogs in their chosen conference. The SWC, the Big XII, Deloss Dodds are in the past now.

I think we'll win out the rest of the way finish 7/5 and this year it won't be the Alamo or Texas Bowl. Well go to the Liberty Bowl and play in freeze your ass off Memphis on 12/28/21. And we'll deserve it.

There will be egg on OK's face if Cincinnati gets the playoff nod over them. BYU joins the Big XII be and they'll probably finish in the top 10 this year. This could work out well for the new Big XII.

The longhorns will beat KS because we're not that bad.

And as always

Correct. Texas has a bunch of entitled and lazy players. This team needs competition. I am not a fan of signing highly rated players and giving them a starting role just because 247 rates them highly. It's bad.

We have to get better with NIL. We are behind. Part of the problem is Chris Plonsky and her ilk. They have control of the compliance department and are taking from football to give to other sports. While I don't disagree with this, we do it so much that football is suffering from a lack of prioritization. 1. Football 2. MBBall 3. Baseball.

In the short run, going to the SEC is going to be a kick in the pants for our lazy athletic department. It's my opinion that our Athletic Department fears losing donations to NIL and the players. This is an adjustment we are going to have to make if we want to be successful. The AD is going to have to do with less while "quality and deserving" players get more. Mind you, the non deserving players will need to be cut from the roster, "essentially". We will need higher roster churn just like an NFL team. There is accountability in the NFL but that does not mean a team will win. It comes down to roster decisions and player quality. That's the GM's job.

Long term the move will be great for Texas. We have the money and exposure to have a perennial powerhouse in all sports. Is CDC tough enough to transform the donation model to more self sustainability, IDK but he will have to if our NIL is to take off. We need NIL.
