Did you see the numbers they posted the other day comparing Bijan to Earl and Ricky in their first 20 games? Bijan had them beat pretty good in yards and TDs. I don't remember the exact numbers but they posted it during the game Saturday.

Who cares about stats. Bijan didn't show he was the best on the field on Saturday. To be on their level you have to take over big games at big moments. Bijan tripped and missed his block on a crucial 3rd down at the end of the game...

O god, we have already been over this more than once. He had more total yards than anybody on the field Saturday. He messed up on 1 play so he sucks. I get it...

Never said he sucks, he is absolutely a great player. He just has a habit of somewhat disappearing in hard games. He doesn't get to sit next to Earl or Ricky because of that.

Didn't have the oline either of them had too but hey let's not count that. Dude had 150 all purpose yards against the best defense in the country..with 3 freshman oline and a defense pinning their ears back because they know our 2nd string QB can't do anything on 1 leg

You're not comparing apples to apples. Ricky and Earl had really good offensive lines. Bijan has had nothing even close to what those guys had. And top of that he has put up better numbers than both guys in his first 20 games with garbage offensive lines.

I'm not taking anything away from Bijan. He's a talented back. Very talented. He's a multi-purpose back. He can catch and run. He's built for speed and the open field.
Get him the ball in space and he's almost as dangerous a Reggie Bush.
But he's isn't built for between the tackles pounding.
Look-- nobody had Earl's pure power.
Not even Ricky. And even though Ricky and Earl were about the same strength, Ricky had more speed. Cedric didn't have Ricky's accelerarion but he was super STRONG and his forward leaning style and durability meant he could take a pounding and dish one out.

Bijan is a slasher. He isn't running anybody OVER. He is at his BEST in space. Get him to the edge with a clean line of sight and you're fvcked. He's got some speed. Open field vs a 1 on 1, I'll take Bijan 9 out 10 times to shake the dude.

Jamaal Charles was 5'11 and played at 205. Jamaal had jets at 4.36 40 time.
Bijan is 6 foot 215. Similar build. Bijan isn't running away from people like Jamaal-- my best guess is Bijan is a 4.5 40 guy. Hard to tell. But he's got acceleration.
Cedric was 5'11 230..... he ran a 4.55 40.
Ricky was 5'10 230 and ran a 4.56.

Conclusion-

Bijan isn't BUILT to be the kind of runner that can pound it 25 times between the tackles for 120 yards against a defense like Bama.
He is better suited for edge plays and flat passes into the open space.
Proof-- he had 21 carries for 57 yards- with a long run of 18---- 2.7 ypc. Take away the longest run and he has 20 carries for 39 yards....= 1.95 ypc--

He had 3 catches for 73 yards = 24.3 yp catch.
24 touches for 130 yards total.
That's 5.4 yards per touch. Respectable.

Thats my point too though. The argument was he disappeared in big games. Which I disagree with. He had the most app purpose yards on the field. He just A. Doesn't have the line to pound the middle and B like you stated needs to be put in space.

Pretty much all of this. Bijan is 10000000x the player of Ricky and Earl as a receiver. But Bijan isn't even in the same universe as a between the tackles back.

For the record, I also think Worthy is overrated as well and drops too many passes.

You are not comparing apples to apples either. Today's game is very different from Ricky and Earls time. Send Bijan back in time to Earls day and I'm pretty sure he doesn't get these stats.

Where's the data to prove that?

How is he overrated? He only had 3 drops on 105 targets last year. The data doesn't back up what you're saying. It's almost as if you're just making stuff up at this point.

I don't have the stats but he dropped more than 3 passes last year.

Did some work on Randy's house up there in Granite Shoals on LBJ some 10 years or so ago. Pleasant man. While leaving though I shout out "BOOMER" 😁

Ain't got no work since.

Game has changed.

Another dropped pass by Worthy. Am I still making stuff up?

Bijan chokes in a big moment again.

There was a stat during the game about Worthy's drops. It said he has had 9 drops since 2021. He is doing it enough for the game commenters to mention it. I'm not the only one with that opinion and I didn't make it up like the other guy said I did. If you don't want to acknowledge that it is an issue with him that's fine.

He had 3 drops all of last season. There's no debating that, it's a fact. I showed you the data and if you choose not to believe it because it doesn't fit your narrative then that's on you. This year it has been a major issue though.

It's not a narrative. They put a stat on the TV screen during the game, 9 drops since 2021. That doesn't account for the times he loses it in the air and isn't in position to drop it.

This I have witnessed him do several times. Ewers a couple of times has thrown a very nice deep ball and Worthy just like drifts away from it.

Worthy does have the dropsies this year. Again, I think he is trying to do too much. Him and Bijan just need to chill the hell out and trust their ability.
