For Spencer Howard and two other prospects.
He any good?

I don’t love it but it’s not like he’s an elite prospect. We add a quality young arm in Howard and pave the way for a top 3 pick in next years draft. Hell this paves the way for a run at the Diamondbacks for the top pick. Hans can’t stand in the way of that!Do not like the inclusion of Hans Crouse in this trade.
I like it. Dombrowski is always willing to spend prospects, so I am happy to deal with him. Gibson, like Minor a couple of years ago, does not have the peripherals to fully back up his stellar numbers, so I was not expecting him to get an ace return. Given that, this is a great haul. Disappointed to see Crouse go; really like his stuff, but his awkward mechanics have made me nervous about his long-term health. Howard has multiple plus offerings and is big-league-ready, so I am stoked for him.Ranked as the #27 prospect in baseball pre-season by one service. I’ll let @JitterFields expound - he’ll know more than I will.
Those mechanics are really problematic for Crouse imo. Not sure he will be able to throw strikes consistently enough or stay healthy as you mentioned. I don’t get the infatuation with him by fans.I like it. Dombrowski is always willing to spend prospects, so I am happy to deal with him. Meh, he is kind of a headcase and his velocity has dropped. Also is fairly wild. I think he profiles more as a reliever.Do not like the inclusion of Hans Crouse in this trade.

So, Howard slides right into the rotation in Gibby's spot I assume?I like it. Dombrowski is always willing to spend prospects, so I am happy to deal with him. Wait, are you describing Hans Crouse or Nolan Ryan?Because he was a 2nd round pick by Texas that threw hard and screamed after pitches and stomped around the mound. That's all I got.

I was in a hurry when I typed this - I didn’t mean to leave out @Dog from Duck Hunt and @Dave C2 - their opinions are always informative as well.

I'm thinking Crouse is the exact opposite of Nolan in mound demeanor.I don't remember Nolan screaming. Glaring, yes. He didn't have to say anything, his stare was intimidating enough.
