RB Coach...

Guys has anyone heard who is in the running for RB coach? I haven't seen anything about it recently.

I would guess the staff is fully focused on closing out this class. It does sound like it may have impacted Porter though, but I would rather lose a RB prospect now, and get a guy that was completely vetted, than hire someone quickly to ease one RBs mind.

I hope they'll combine Gilbert's comfort with the new RB coach and his offense along with a HR hitter on the recruiting trail. Maybe someone that's worked with Gilbert or Briles previously and has TX high school ties.

Any chance they've already made some contact, but since that RB coach is likely recruiting for another school... they're letting that play out before doing anything official? Though, I guess like you guys said, the staff is probably pretty busy right now so maybe they just haven't had time...

Higdon said the decision on a hire has already been made but that nothing will happen publicly until after NSD. He also said that it would make zero difference either way with the RBs we were targeting, since their shift away from Texas had everything to do with the departure of Robinson specifically.

Oh it did have a major impact (with others too). Higdon's point was that the impact was because of the departure of Robinson specifically and not simply the unfilled staff position.
