Said it was great to be back as an actual commitment. Coaches showed him a lot of love, he loved the intensity of the practice. Said both sides of the ball were getting after it. He’s now at 6-2 and 230. Said he models himself after Anthony Hill in that he can move around, play some linebacker, some edge. No other visits on the schedule … he’s locked in with Texas. Made the decision to commit to Texas last Saturday when he visited.

Said today was different because he got to watch practice and see how Texas operates. He actually came to Austin last night. Said he liked seeing how Texas uses the tight end in the offense. Views it as being similar to what he does in Jasper in that he can line up wide or in line, do a little bit of everything. Texas OV is set for June 21. Going to take OVs to Baylor, LSU, Florida State, Texas A&M, Auburn. Wants to commit no later than week four of his senior season. Said he’s pretty open among the schools that he’s visiting and didn’t name any schools that are ahead of the pack.

Said the atmosphere of the practice stood out, especially since it was in the stadium. Lots of energy. “I can see myself playing here and going here.” Watched some film with Kyle Flood and really likes his coaching style. He’s returning on Tuesday for another practice. That’s his only other spring visit. OVs to Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. Said UT and A&M are probably his top two right now. Feels like he has most of the information he needs so a decision could come pretty early. Spoke with Kelvin Banks, Connor Stroh, Daniel Cruz and Christian Jones was also at practice.

Second time visiting Texas. Said a highlight was talking to Blake Gideon, hearing UT’s philosophy and how they run the program. Likes that Gideon is based on honesty and not just making players and/or recruits happy and telling them what they want to hear. Brought his father with him on this visit. He may visit Ohio State next week. As for where Texas fits in, he said top three. LSU and Notre Dame would be the others in that group.

The highlights were talking with the coaches and seeing his former IMG Academy teammates Jerrick Gibson and Jordon Johnson-Rubell. Those two along with Brandon Baker have really been talking up Texas. Baker has told him that Kyle Flood is the best coach to develop you. Kolojay said he loves Flood’s coaching style, seems to fit Kolojay’s personality. Flood wanted him to commit today. He doesn’t have a formal list but said Texas is way up there and this visit really opened his eyes. No other visits for this spring. Said Kelvin Banks and Jake Majors looked good today. Loved their communication and said they play violent to the whistle, which is how he likes to play.

2026 LB Tank King

Picked up a Texas offer last week. Said today was a great visit. “Texas really treats you like family.” He was planning to come this weekend before he got the offer, but said it was much better to visit having the offer in hand. He’s really close with Jaylon Guilbeau and Tyanthony Smith. Said Texas is really up there, is a top school for him right now. Also likes Notre Dame (will visit there next week) and Texas A&M.

What stood out to him was how Kyle Flood coaches and watching him go over film. Also impressed with the campus and the dorms on the campus tour. Said Kyle Flood coaches fast but does a good job of explaining what he means. Was impressed with how physical the OL was and the communication among that group. Has also visited TCU, SMU and Oklahoma. Doesn’t think he’ll take any other visits this spring. Said the culture at Texas stands out. Said he doesn’t have any preferences on colleges right now.

Visited for junior day in January and was back today. Said he really liked getting to watch the scrimmage. Got to sit down with AJ Milwee to talk about the offense in depth. Said Quinn Ewers looked good. “He looks calm and composed out there. Obviously he’s a veteran, he knows exactly what he’s doing, knows the plays, changes protections and things like that.” Texas hasn’t offered yet but told him they’ll be by this spring. He understands that UT takes QB recruiting slower than some schools so he’s hoping an offer comes at some point. No other visits planned for this spring. Said Sark and Milwee’s ability to run a true offense is a big draw for him and keeps him coming back.

Said the coaches showed a lot of love, the campus was impressive and the facilities were among the best he’s seen. He’s also been to Houston, TCU, Bama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Baylor, SMU this spring. Said the practice was very up-tempo and very detail-oriented. Growing up in Texas, he said it’s always been a dream to play at Texas.

Liked the communication the linemen showed at practice and really likes the intensity that Kyle Flood coaches with. No other visits coming up. Said he liked the facilities, the coaching and “all aspects of Texas.” SMU, North Texas, Pittsburgh and Arkansas among the schools recruiting him aggressively.

He’s now at Waxahachie. Said he loved the vibe of the visit and getting to watch practice. “Burnt orange … I just love to be here.” Said he’s impressed with the communication from the Texas players during the scrimmage. Was at OU last weekend.
