Our class is pretty full already. No room for errrbody.
You guys will hire a name coach, and I bet our classes will be close enough that we can have a decent debate on who got the better class come February. Rinse and repeat. You guys normally close really well for whatever reason, even if you stink on the field.
More to it than that, or Ole Miss would be all 5 stars. You guys aren't as clean as many on this site believe, but you aren't a dirty program either. You aren't doing anything that everyone who cares isn't doing as well, that is just sour grapes on our part because we haven't closed well the last 2 years.

I agree your brand really helps. I also believe that if Strong stays against the will of boosters, it will hurt your close. I believe that is part of what happened to Sumlin last Jan/Feb. Our big money guys are just as unreasonable as yours. Your guys actually seem less likely to sabotage the program if their feelings get hurt.
Most are playing a wait and see approach. Yes, there are some guys that I thought were heavy Texas leans that are more interested in A&M than they once were. Kids are waiting to see who is going to be coaching Texas next year. Kids are waiting to see if A&M is really going to break through, or are they going to lose to the same old teams in Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss and finish 4th in the conference. IF, and I think chances are very small A&M could somehow manage to take down Alabama then I think it's a huge jump for Sumlin and this program and could for sure have some recruiting implications. This is a big year for Texas recruiting because looking at the top recruits left that are uncommitted there are some beasts that had Texas as their favorite, but some are backing off that now. It's going to be a WILD recruiting season and coaching hire frenzy this winter.
Texas could go 2-10 and still get a handful of the best players in the state. Marvin Wilson is visiting this weekend and if Texas can close out at least a little strong Little will be on board with him.

No need to panic, these kids and parents see the talent and 2 deep being all Fresh and Soph's. Texas is going to be fine the next few years, they just need a foundation of coaching to line them up right with the correct schemes.
Has Marvin Wilson been to multiple games? Can not imagine the Iowa State game atmosphere will be great. Hard to hate Iowa state.
Maybe a revenge deal, or maybe picking a likely win. Maybe he comes to a lot of Texas games, but if not it seems really weird.
