Only 2 I can think of...... Bru... which is still prolly no and D. Glass which is a possibility. Look to 2020 for the effects of last nights win. Bru is a receiver with D possibilities. We are stacked at wr. D. Glass is an upside RB commited to osu. Osu has a cleaner road to starting and pt.

This is the time when Tommy needs to call up the guys that are leaning toward jawja and inform them that they will get to play LSU twice at Texas, or get their head caved in twice against Bama.
Sorry @Metcalf #2 i know you don't like me calling him Tommy--- but Tommy chews hubba bubba during a post game presser- Tom does not ;)

Would LOVE to see Bru in burnt orange, God-willing.

At WR or edge rusher or whatever. He's just a smart, classy player. Just gets his business done, mostly, and returns to the huddle. Occasionally, he'll celebrate, but he acts like he's been in the end zone before. At least from all his highlights (he has a ton). And one of his highlight plays shows a DB trying to get into something with him. Just ignored the kid. Smart young man.

And Texas has all the programs that he's currently interested in, academically. Business, marketing, government (poly sci).

But his HS quarterback is at USC, and it's closer to home. That's going to be hard to beat. But we'll see.

Probably chewing nicorette. He's been seen with chew in before. I believe he prefers Copenhagen long cut. Anyway, that was my choice back in tha day.

It'll be interesting to see what affect, if any, the win over Georgia has on kids considering Texas for the remaining 7 or 8 spots for this class. I know this, it can't hurt our chances.

My son noticed how Herman was chomping the hell out of his gum on the sidelines and asked, “What’s up with that?”

I told him that he probably chews. Most fields are turf, so you can’t spit on them and he can’t carry a spit cup around with him during a game. He probably also doesn’t want to be seen in the million TV close ups with a big pinch in his cheek.

My son told that makes sense, and I told him that it takes one to know one.

Wait-------- you're not supposed to spit on astroturf or field turf? Ruh roh.

I dipped Copenhagen fine cut for 25 years. Bad decision. Wish I would have stuck to gum.

I try to get my son to quit dipping, but he won't listen. That crap is so bad for your health.
Cancer is real. I’ve had several biopsies done over the years. Nothing invasive but they did those lip punches. Show him pics of Jim Kelly these days and of course the late great Tony Gwynn.

I started doing fine cut when I was 15. I switched to long cut at 20. My dentist is an aggy and one of my closest friends. We have a deal in place- he has a photo of my gums at age 24........ every 4 months when I go in for a cleansing, he takes another photo and compares it to the first photo he took in 1999. The day he can tell my gums are receding, I said I would quit dipping. Little does he know that I'm more of a clean freak about my mouth than I am about my Loofa's. I brush 4 times a day, minimum. I tell him that I only brush a few times a week. Pissrs him off.

I think if you’re gonna dip long cut or pouches are the way to go no doubt. Neither were cook when I started, don’t think pouches were around then. Started about the same age, 15. I’ll never forget hiding it from my parents and my dad finding it and making me swallow the juice to teach me a lesson. Little did he know I’d already been swallowing it in class but I did my best to act like it made me sick lol.

I started when at UT. I would drink beer with snuff. I would practically eat the stuff. I would sleep with it....... you know the drill. I quit shortly after college. I would leave the spit cups out for a week or more and the smell eventually cured me of my cravings.

I quite caffeine awhile back..... I quit alcohol 20 years ago. Too much trouble. No fun anymore but then again, I feel a lot better.

Dipped for 37 years. Had a heart scare and quit cold turkey. The next few months were hell for sure!!! My advice is quit today or as soon as you can.

When I was in college I had polished off a bottle of Fireball and had been using it as an oversized spit cup for a couple of days. If you’re not familiar with Fireball, it was a cinnamon flavored whiskey that had a tinted glass bottle. I had a friend and the time who liked to bum dips from me and also help himself to my alcohol, most of the time he would ask, after the fact. One day he comes over, I sitting on my couch watching tv, probably dipping and had my Fireball spit cup bottle on the coffee table in front of me.

Now keep in mind, that residual cinnamon whiskey smell was so strong in that bottle that you could not tell that I had been spitting snuff in it and the glass was tinted so you couldn’t decipher the contents unless you REALLY looked. The bottle probably had about 3 inches of snuff spit in it. Anyway, he makes his presence known and walks right over and says, Oh look, Fireball, as he’s grabbing it.

Before I could even react he puts it to his mouth and chugs twice. He totally swallowed all he chugged before realizing what happened. He ran to my sink and commenced losing his guts.

My hillbilly cousin from Conroe gave me my first dip of Cope when I was in the 4th grade. I’d take a dip every now and then until high school, when I started dipping regularly. My stint in the Marines didn’t do anything to help. I had a lump cut out and biopsied while I was in and it scared me, so I quit....

....until I had a partner on patrol who dipped. I’d bum the occasional, until he told me to buy my own can.

That was 15 years ago, and I wish I’d never started back up again.

I literally damn near passed out on my first dip of Copenhagen. How on earth that didn’t deter me I have no idea. At that point it becomes a challenge I guess.

He gone .Usc.

I'd be more interested in Bru if he wanted to focus on LB in college, but he doesn't, and we're absolutely loaded at WR. I was more in on him when I thought there might be a connection with him and Trey Sanders going to the same school.

Now? Meh, if we get him fine, if we don't fine. If we do, I hope he can be swayed into playing LB. it probably would boost our recruiting rankings, though.

Also, if anybody thought Kingsbury might seal him going to USC, that may be out the window now. Kingsbury interviewing for NFL jobs, (which is f*cking retarded btw) might cost USC.

Maybe OP is comparing following recruiting to those other substances......

I have to admit that I am an addict to recruiting. But a cheap one....I won't pay a dime to those services....

You might want to watch this kids highlight video a little more when you say you don’t want him to play receiver. The kid is fast as lightning and can catch anything thrown his way. He is a big kid too at 6’3. I would love to see him line up out wide too not just the slot. This kid can play anywhere you put him I guarantee you and we are lucky to have him!

Don't get me wrong, I love him as a WR. I'm just looking at where we need him more, and I believe that's defense.

Regardless, he's gonna be fun to watch wherever he lines up. He's definitely an outside WR, and could be a great #1. Definitely not needed to play slot at all. We're stacked there with Moore, Whittington, and Smith.

Ya I agree we could use some depth at the linebacker position. He needs to put on about 30 pounds and I could see him being a hell of an outside pass rusher. It’s gonna be fun to see who returns kicks between him and Jordan. It’s so exciting to finally be getting these top recruits again. I’m ready for a national championship run, its been way too long, and I see many in the near future.
